James J. Greco, President

Mr. Greco is a consultant and investor in the food manufacturing, restaurant and service industries performing interim and long-term senior executive assignments specializing in growth and turnaround.

During the past several years, Mr. Greco has served in a number of interim leadership assignments.  These include President of Newk’s, a next generation fast casual restaurant chain, CEO of True Drinks, a nutraceutical beverage company and CEO of the Palm Beach County Food Bank.

Prior to this, Mr. Greco was chief executive of Sbarro, one of the world’s leading Italian quick service restaurant chains with more than 1000 locations in 40 countries.

In 2003, Mr. Greco partnered with private equity to acquire Bruegger’s and served as its chief executive officer until selling the company to Groupe LeDuff.  Following the sale he was co-CEO of LeDuff America.

From 1991 to 2002, Mr. Greco led two private label food manufacturing companies where he designed and executed strategic plans to revitalize and grow the businesses. Mr. Greco is a member of the Connecticut and Florida bars.  Current or previous board memberships include Fazoli’s Restaurants, Inc., Share Our Strength Restaurant Group, the Connecticut Food Bank, the Palm Beach County Food Bank and the International Dairy Foods Association. 

In 2009, Mr. Greco was named Operator of the Year by Nation’s Restaurant News.  He is the author of several articles and a book chapter on management and leadership and is a frequent speaker at industry events.

Mr. Greco earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Georgetown University and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. He has completed International Studies at City University, London, England.
